Many many years ago I have been on a fleamarket and there was a seller who had a table full of beautiful painted porcellaine eggs. I instantly felt drawn to these little colourful pieces of art, some with flowers, some with patterns, some with little vintage images on it, I´ve even seen one with an egyptian goddess on it. I was amazed.
Usualy I´m not a "collector" (except of native art), but my interest in those eggs never faded. My hubby couldn´t really understand, as he finds them very "kitschy", but today, after so many years looking at them and wishing I had one, I discovered an auction on Ebay of a little collection and I couldn´t resist anymore :)
Unbelievable that I was the only bidder on these little treasures - I won the auction for 20 pieces (not only eggs) for unreal 19 €uros, including shipping!
I paid them today with Paypal - the eggs didn´t arrive yet of course, but I want to share the pictures of you already. My husband rolled his eyes a bit, but after he knows how happy I am I won the auction he will help me now to build a little board to collect the little objects of my new passion - woohoo!
Now let´s just hope that my cats will keep them intact :)

My name is Bettina and I´m a 37 year old woman who lives with her beloved husband and a bunch of beloved animals in a 400 year old farmhouse in Germany/Bavaria. I LOVE my family, art, animals, nature and books and I´m a passionate Kitsch-Collector (Specially Vintage Puppets, Robots and Space Age toys)and Pee-wee Herman enthusiast. Since 2005 I´m suffering of a massive case of UF (Urticaria Factitia)and chronic reccurring angioedema what means that my skin is oversensitive to pressure, warmth and other simple daily physical impacts, what makes my life a bit more difficult than for others. Being creative helps me a lot to deal with that. My art is all selftaught, I´m not a professional - even more I apprechiate your visits and comments on my blog.
