Three Petite Findings

After nothing is new about my paintings in progress I will share my newest three little findings with you. I got three new eggs for my collection, which are very small, but very beautiful.

I bought them from a woman in austria (via ebay), they are wooden and handpainted and originally come from Hungary.

I´m really digging the miniature paint on them, so well done.

Not sure yet, about how to display them, I have to find some little holders for them or maybe make one of paper or gesso-plast.

I didn´t paint yesterday, I was all kocked out by my antihistamines and was sleeping a lot. Appearantly my body really needed this.

Off to cook I am now and wishing you all a peaceful evening!

  1. They are beautiful Bettina. Please show us how you decide to display them. I'm looking at the middle photo and I just started a bangle with a painting similar to the egg. That's a very good job she had done. Wooden you say? Wow. Very nice indeed. Have a great day, or rest of the day.

  2. Bonjour! So you collect eggs! No wonder you were so interested in my hens loot! Yes, the eggs are always a little different, sometimes smaller, bigger, rougher, pointy, nobby. They are different tones too, are black Maran hens make coffee colored eggs! And we will be getting Ameraucanas hens in a few weeks, these give greenish and blueish eggs. HAPPY WEEKEND! LuLu

  3. Thanks for all your kind comments, Girls!

Yes Lulu, I´m the crazy egg woman, lol
I´m so diggin this wonderful shape created by nature, the symbol of the beginning of a new life.
I had to smile as someone posted on your post she thought you were talking about turtle eggs. We have two waterturtles as well, two ladies, and they use to lay eggs, what is always so amazing to watch.

Happy Weekend to you girls as well!

    xoxo Bettina

  4. those are beauties Bettina! Maybe you can weave (or find) a little nest to nestle them in :)
I hope you feel better today - anti histamines are the worst at zapping one's energy... xox

  5. Hi Bettina, thank you so much for your message, so lovely to hear from you. The photo of your swollen face, wow. I bet your pain was going through the roof! I don't know what it is with dentists and doctors, not all, but we seem to get the bad ones quite often.
Are you ok now? Hope you are!

    HUGE HUG!

  6. ah, beautiful, beautiful . . . . I grew up with many things like this. House full of ecletic items from around the world collected by arty parents, and kept in a little Victorian house in London, UK . . . .

  7. These are so beautifully painted. Your collection is growing! My aunt used to collect eggs and as a child I would love feeling them in the palm of my hand. She had a huge wooden bowl on her dining room table filled with eggs made of stone, wood and papier mache. The more precious eggs were kept in a wall cabinet.

  8. Hello my Sweet Friend, I am so glad to be back blogging; I have missed you...Your eggs are precious and it seems you have collected quite a few.......I was just reading some of your past blogs and I am so sorry that you had to endure such a horrible time at boarding school.....experiences such as yours give Christianity a bad name and make people want to escape God rather than turning to Him....I can assure you He was not in that and loves you very much.....
I am looking forward to seeing your finished pictures.....I am very eager to get back to my art journaling...
I hope you have a wonderful day,
    Hugs and Blessings,
    Nancy
